333,600 Meals Served To Date and Counting...
Share A Meal is an organization of people giving back to the Los Angeles community. We come together with other service-minded individuals to serve the less fortunate, with no expectation of receiving anything in return. It is our mission to eradicate selfish living by incorporating selfless service into our daily routine.
WHAT WE DO
One Person at a Time
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to make a positive impact. Our mobile kitchens are food trucks that arrive on a regular schedule every weekday, rain or shine, at different locations around the city where the homeless populations are concentrated. Volunteers meet at these locations and help roll burritos they then serve to those in need. With loving hearts, kind words, and smiles, volunteers also offer water, socks, blankets, toiletries, and other necessities.
The volunteer experience is one of humility and an uplifting of their consciousness. The homeless feel humanized and keep their hopes and dreams alive.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION RETREATS
Building a Community of Volunteers
Share A Meal loves its volunteers and truly appreciates volunteers for their time and dedication. We host Volunteer Retreats to bring together our community of volunteers through great food, music, games, hikes and visits to the local lakes. Retreats are hosted at the Arrowhead Springs Retreat in San Bernardino National Forest, Contact us for these opportunities to meet and converse with others sharing the same passion.
FOOD TRUCK FUNDRAISERS
Your Meal Feeds Another
In order to support our volunteer service nights and maintain the quality of foods and services we provide, we host food truck fundraisers around the Los Angeles area. Share A Meal Food Truck Fundraisers bring the community together to enjoy items like our popular Baked Samosa Chaat platter and Vegan Mango Smoothie. Our menu includes vegan and gluten-free options.

Making a Difference
At the end of our New Year’s Day meal service in Venice, one of the homeless men we served stopped us to say,
"I just wanted to let you guys all know that you don’t just serve meals to us, you also restore our faith and trust in humanity."
